Euroleague Basketball regrets to confirm, by way of Khimki Moscow Region, that forward Tyler Honeycutt has died in a shooting incident in his home state of California.

LAPD SWAT officers went into the home and discovered the unidentified man's body early Saturday morning after shots were fired.

According to the report, the suspect's mother called police after her son started acting erratically.

Following the standoff, the official account for the LAPD tweeted in the early hours of Saturday, July 7, that "SWAT entered the residence & located an unresponsive male".

Rubenstein noted that "no officers were injured and it was unknown if the suspect had been struck by the officers gunfire" at the time. Honeycutt was just 27 years old.
