The FBI director investigating Hillary Clinton for her private email server himself used a private email address to conduct government business, according to a bombshell buried in a 500-page Inspector General report released on Friday.
The almost 500-page report released Thursday was especially harsh on senior Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Peter Strzok, who exchanged a trove of text messages with an Federal Bureau of Investigation colleague in the months before the presidential election.
USA president Donald Trump introduces his wife Melania on the first day of the Republican National Convention on July 18, 2016 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. Page was less well-known and has left the agency since the text messages were revealed.
In December 2017, it was revealed that at least five of the emails stored on Weiner's laptop were marked "confidential" and involved delicate talks with Middle Eastern leaders and Abedin.
The FBI agent who was removed from the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election for sending anti-Trump texts intends to testify before the House Judiciary Committee and any other congressional committee that asks, his attorney said in a letter made public Sunday.
Tyrone Boy's Cannabis Oil Treatment Approved By UK Government
A family spokesman said the medication was on its way to London's Chelsea and Westminster Hospital early on Saturday afternoon. When his mother tried to take oil from Canada into the country on Monday Heathrow airport officials confiscated the medicine.
Clinton has since said that Comey's letter contributed to her unexpected defeat by Trump.
"The top people were disgusting", Trump said.
Trump wielded it as a blunt instrument Friday, bludgeoning the integrity of the Justice Department. In one text four days before the election, Page told Strzok that the "American presidential election, and thus, the state of the world, actually hangs in the balance".
FBI Director Chris Wray told reporters the FBI accepted the report's findings and was making changes, including requiring further training for FBI employees and re-emphasizing the importance of objectivity.
Strzok, replied, "No. No he won't". I think we can presume that special someone was its author, Peter Strzok.
Technology helps France to 2-1 win over Australia
Denmark on Sunday morning (AEST) downed Peru , who the Australians meet in their last group game on Tuesday week in Sochi. The incident signalled the first use of VAR in the World Cup resulting in an intervention which led to a goal.
"If you read the IG report, I've been totally exonerated", Trump said, responding to questions from reporters later Friday morning.
But in a twist that might have come straight out of the laptop of a Hollywood screenwriter, Page and Strzok's correspondence has arguably wound up giving a huge political boost to Trump. Rudy Giuliani, the president's attorney, has suggested that a presidential interview with Mueller may not happen in the aftermath of the IG report, which he contends shows the investigation has been tainted and biased against the president.
The president is expected to reach a decision soon on whether he will sit for an interview.
"We found no evidence that the conclusions by the prosecutors were affected by bias or other improper considerations; rather, we determined that they were based on the prosecutors' assessment of the facts, the law and past department practice", the report said. But should Mueller finish his probe, any fallout will lie in Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein's hands as he has the authority to decide whether to release the information publicly and when and if he should refer the report to Congress to consider impeachment.
"Here's the good news: I did nothing wrong. There was no collusion, there was no obstruction, and the IG report yesterday went a long way to show that".
