The Warriors’ imperfection has defined their NBA Finals run

If he is able to outperform Durant and Curry by a wide margin, he still needs some help from a supporting cast that hasn't offered all that much support this postseason.

If the Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Warriors will win the 2018 National Basketball Association championship and the best-of-seven series will be over.

Following the championship, the NBA Finals MVP award is the next best thing and recognises the most valuable player throughout the finals series.

In his press conference on Thursday, LeBron couldn't avoid more questions about KD.

History was made on June 8, as for the second time since he joined the NBA, LeBron James was swept in the NBA Finals.

Scott earns US Open berth through qualifiers
Former world number one Adam Scott earned a place in next week's US Open at a qualifying event in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday. Michael Putnam almost didn't make it to The Lakes after he opened with a 1-over 73 at Brookside.

"I just tried to stay in the zone", Durant said.

He did apologize to Portland after saying that, while smiling and nearly cracking up. "You can't have mistakes".

We all knew Golden State was better, and this series has done nothing to change that belief.

And once again, Kevin Durant-the 2017 Finals MVP-had the ball in his hands, the momentum running down the court, and the swagger to pull up from nearly the same spot behind the three-point line from where he hit a memorable shot previous year.

James spent the first three minutes of what will probably be his final quarter as a Cavalier sitting on the bench, draped in towels. Golden State led by two at the end of the third quarter before keeping control in the fourth. After dropping a monstrous 51 points in Game 1 of the Finals, James' approach did appear different in Games 2, 3, and 4. The Cavaliers won the rematch the next year but Golden State has handled them easily to finish the last two seasons.

Cross-Pacific swimmer to pass through garbage vortex
A crowd of around a few dozen people gathered at the beach in Choshi, a couple of hours from Tokyo , to see the swimmer off. Lecomte, wearing a wetsuit and flippers, drew cheers as he set off doing a brisk crawl.

The Warriors are the first NBA team to grab a 3-0 lead in the NBA Finals in back-to-back seasons, but they need no reminder how last year's Game 4 in Cleveland turned out.

Durant finished with a career playoff high 43 points plus 13 rebounds and seven assists on a night when guards Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson made a woeful 7-of-27 combined shots.

The Warriors won 108-85 Friday night with a signature third-quarter run that buried the Cavs.

The Warriors are going to win a second consecutive title, there will be plenty of opinions on where LeBron James can go to have a chance against them, and none of the answers are going to seem satisfactory.

Fortunately for Golden State, however, they also boasted this guy named Kevin Durant. It was eerily reminiscent of the three-point bomb he hit in the face of James in Game 3 of last year's Finals which, like this one, gave the Warriors a daunting 3-0 series lead.
