Johnny Manziel made his CFL debut Saturday night with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and while he remains the backup quarterback to former OR star Jeremiah Masoli, Manziel made some impressive plays in preseason action.

The former Texas A&M Heisman Trophy victor got into his first CFL game in the second quarter. Masoli completed 8 of 13 passes for 115 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. But this was a big night for Manziel and a step forward in his return to football. He also participated in two games for The Spring League in April before deciding to make a two-year commitment to the CFL and sign with the Tiger-Cats.
