Now, Vermonters are left wondering- is Sanders committed to a full third term or will he seek the presidency again in 2020?

The senator from the U.S. state of Vermont pledged he would continue to be the fiercest opponent in the Senate to congressional Republicans and President Donald Trump. Many mainstream Democrats warn that Sanders-style socialist candidates might alienate just enough voters to deliver key races to Republicans.

The candidate said he would formally launch his campaign in June with rallies across Vermont.
