Iran's foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will travel to Moscow on 14 May and meet his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov for consultations on the nuclear deal.
"The Iran deal is not only about sanctions but more about regional stability and non-proliferation of the mass destruction weapons", Lavrov added. "The Europeans should not have to pay for the withdrawal of an agreement by the United States, to which they had themselves contributed", he said. He reassured that his country will stay in the agreement with full commitment and will do its best to preserve the deal in cooperation with other sides of the agreement.
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday expressed his "deep concern" over Donald Trump's withdrawal from the 2015 deal.
