Three days after the 28-year-old new mom, and her 25-year-old husband Dana Isaiah welcomed their first child on May 2, Sparks opened up about her natural water birth to PEOPLE.

Jordin shared this sweet first look at baby DJ on her Instagram and captioned the snap, "He's here & we couldn't be more in love!"

"She is deliriously happy", Sparks' rep had announced at the time. The singer also had an exclusive baby shower beck in February. Then he was good to go, ' she continued. I am so grateful for my husband and awesome team at the Natural Birthing Center.

"Then he was good to go", she added.

"Dana caught him with my midwife, Simona, and when he handed him to me, I was absolutely overwhelmed with joy. Like you see it in movies, how emotional people get, but until you are actually sitting there it's beyond anything I've ever felt in my life".

Although it's only been a few days but Sparks says she's already enjoying her journey into motherhood.

It's some lovely news following February's tragedies when Jordin lost four loved ones in one week, including her step sister.

Jordin added that although feeling great she wanted to ensure she remained careful so she didn't end up back in the hospital.

Sparks learned she was pregnant in August 2017 and told Isaiah five days after he moved to L.A.
