To help people get rid of their old medication, KSP is partnering with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 28.

Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, and many area police departments plan to participate.

If you plan to take back your leftover prescription drugs to KSP tomorrow, here are some suggestions from officials.

According to the DEA and MSP, drug take-back programs are the safest way to dispose of expired or unused drugs, as flushing unused drugs contaminates the water supply, and drugs thrown in the trash can be retrieved, abused and/or illegally sold.
