New York Yankees superstars respond to girl's viral video on bullying trauma

10-year-old Cassidy Slater posted this video on Facebook.

The Yankees, whose Triple-A affiliate is based in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, posted a video Wednesday on Twitter in response to Slater along with this message: "Hey Cassidy - we saw the video you made and from all of us here at the New York Yankees, we want you to know that you are not alone".

Mimicking the style the girl, Cassidy from Scranton, Pennsylvania, used in her emotional video, each Yankee held up sheets of paper with writing on them. She says she is the target of a group of kids who "hit me, kicked me, pulled my hair, pushed me, stepped on me, spit on me". "I want you to know you're loved, special & smart". "Whenever I sit at a lunch table, the kids get up".

Each page details the way the bullying escalated - from students attacking and spitting on her, to the students telling Cassidy to kill herself.

"I don't know how to explain how it made me feel...even talking about it I get choked up". Her father added that they might reconsider if the bullying continued.
