"Last night, the aim of the mission of this (our) commander-in-chief handed our military forces was utterly attained, with accelerated professionalism", Pence claimed in a reaction to reporters' inquiries about whether Trump reluctantly reevaluate the mission's no effect.

Vice President Mike Pence had a simple message for Russia Saturday, after overnight airstrikes in Syria that Russia condemned.

The vice president's comments came a day after the US, in concert with the United Kingdom and France, conducted "precision strikes" on three targets in Syria associated with the country's chemical weapons arsenal.

"Our message to Russian Federation is, you're on the wrong side of history", Pence, who is in Peru in President Trump's place this weekend, told reporters. You're known by the company that you keep. Mr. Trump, too, has called out Russian Federation, and its president, Vladimir Putin, by name, in the last week.

Calling the strike "successful" and an "extraordinary success", Trump said the strike "degraded and crippled" and "significantly eroded" Syria's ability to use chemical weapons.

The allied attack on Syria drew immediate condemnation from Syria and its allies, Russian Federation and Iran, who accused the U.S., France and Britain of violating global law and blatantly violating Syria's sovereignty.

Footage showed officers in Philadelphia taking the men away in handcuffs , as onlookers insisted the pair had done nothing wrong. Attorney Lauren Wimmer, who represents the two men, joined Good Day Weekend on Sunday to discuss the controversial arrest.

The remarks came a day after the American military, in collaboration with Britain and France, carried out what it routinely describes as "precision strikes" on three targets in Syria that it falsely claimed to be associated with the country's alleged chemical weapons arsenal, without producing any evidence.

Pence said that the Trump administration considered every potential response in developing its plan for the Syrian strike and its monitoring the environment for any retaliation.

"We believe that it has significantly eroded and crippled the ability of the regime to produce chemicals", Pence further claimed despite the fact that the previous USA administration was heavily involved in the process of Syria's dismantling of its entire chemical weapons arsenal back in 2014 in the presence of global inspectors.

Pence echoed Trump in his remarks on Saturday, saying that the US was prepared to carry out "sustained" action against Syria's chemical weapons program, unless the government of President Bashar Assad ceased its use of chemical munitions. The war continued for eight more years, and more civilians and troops perished after that speech took place than before it.
