Knicks Fire Jeff Hornacek, Kurt Rambis

Knicks fire head coach Jeff Hornacek and some big names are candidates to replace him

Report: Knicks dismiss head coach Jeff Hornacek

Counting his time as the Phoenix Suns' head coach from 2013-14 to the middle of the 2015-16 season, Hornacek has a career 161-216 record. Wright would be an outside the box hire by the Knicks, and somewhat out of the box, that would help bring a new outlook on the franchise. Both were holdovers from the Phil Jackson era. Associate head coach Kurt Rambis was also fired.

Fresh off of another national championship run with Villanova Jay Wright is expected to be one of the hotter names this offseason. "A good coach is willing to embrace all those things".

Hornacek finished his time at the Knicks with a 60-104 record, leaving the team looking for a replacement. The offense was all mid-range, as if the three-point line didn't exist. According to ESPN, Knicks president Steve Mills and general manager Scott Perry informed Hornacek of his fate upon the team's return to NY.

The Knicks have got to get this decision right. They have the ninth-best chance to win the lottery (full odds here).

Moto G6 full family pops up in leaked renders, looks shiny
The listing reveals that the Moto G6 Plus will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and 4GB of RAM to run Android 8.0 Oreo. Ahead of its April 19 launch, we now have some live images of the Moto G6 Play that further confirms the new design language.

"We progressed in some areas and were lacking in others", Mills said, according to the Post. We're sure his Big East rivals would welcome it though.

Hornacek had preached patience earlier on Wednesday, saying he was confident the Knicks were on the verge of being competitive. Mills was asked about this at the press conference.

More good news for the Knicks: The cupboard isn't as barren as it might seem.

The Knicks finished the season with a record of 29-53, which now has them picking 9th in the NBA Draft. With the potential of maximum cap space next summer and Porzingis due to become a free agent, they can not screw up this hire under any circumstance.

North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies briefed on US-led Syria strikes
Vladimir Putin said the strikes were an "act of aggression" that would have a "destructive" influence on worldwide relations. At the same time, Stoltenberg expressed his conviction that those responsible for chemical attacks must be held to account.

Even their players recognize this. "But again, just in terms of consistency and then a trend I would say toward consistency, Steve and I thought we fell a little bit short in that area".

The Magic haven't been to the playoffs since Stan Van Gundy's final season with the team in 2012. Certainly, he must be near the top of many GM's lists when it comes to potential coaching candidates. The Knicks will not be lacking for capable options. It's a move every Knicks fan is happy with, and now they can focus on the search for the next head coach. The front office can't afford to miss with this one.

We're going to give this rumor a 3 out of 10. They would also have more cap space. Hiring a college coach worked out pretty well for the Celtics with Brad Stevens, so perhaps the Knicks could find similar success.

Mills and Perry hope that taking a patient approach to their rebuild will yield better results.
