Comey to ABC: I Didn't Tell Trump Democrats Paid for Dossier

President Donald Trump isn't too happy about former FBI Director James Comey's new memoir.

With legal red flags already emerging over Comey's book, Trump did his part Friday morning, posted a pair of scathing tweets calling him an "untruthful slime ball" who "should be prosecuted".

After that famous Oval Office session in February 2017 when Trump asked Comey to stay back so he could privately urge him to drop the investigation of ousted national security adviser Michael Flynn, Comey writes he confronted Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Harrington's comments came during a discussion with progressive political commentator Wendy Osefo about the upcoming release of Comey's new book, which is a blistering critique of the president, and his related media appearances.

He says the Holocaust is a reminder of how people can lose sight of others' humanity. Two-thirds of millennials could not identify in the survey what Auschwitz was.

But moments later, she misleadingly cited a passage in the book in which Comey wrote that the behavior he saw from Trump "while disturbing and violating basic norms of ethical leadership, may fall short of being illegal", to suggest that this exonerated Trump and his campaign of any collusion with Russian Federation or obstruction of justice.

Comey's no holds barred account of his meetings with Trump before he was sacked at times appears mean spirited, but also conveys a sense of disbelief about the 45th president's behavior.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said on Twitter, "One of the few areas of true bipartisan consensus in Washington is Comey has no credibility".

Speaking with reporters at the White House, presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway said Comey "seems like a disgruntled ex-employee; after all, he was sacked". Many Democrats blame Comey for announcing less than two weeks before the election that the Federal Bureau of Investigation was examining a new trove of Clinton emails for possible classified material.

"As he extended his hand", Comey adds, "I made a mental note to check its size". He also alleged that Comey "lied and leaked" to protect Clinton. While Comey does not outline the details of the information - and says he didn't see indications of Lynch inappropriately influencing the investigation - he says it anxious him that the material could be used to attack the integrity of the probe and the FBI's independence.

Comey's explosive interview was conveniently timed from a publicity standpoint.

Comey writes that he regrets not interrupting Trump to explain that his plea was wrong.

On Feb. 14, 2017, after a counterterrorism briefing, Trump ordered everyone out of the room except Comey, with whom he wanted to have a one-on-one chat, Comey writes.

Android Phone Makers Caught Fibbing About Security Patches
Bringing up the rear were ZTE and TCL, whose phones had an average of more than four missed Android security practices. Other handset makers have to examine each update and, if necessary, tailor them to fit each of their own devices.

"They were about to lead a country that had been attacked by a foreign adversary, yet they had no questions about what the future Russian threat might be", Comey writes. The loyalty oaths. The us-versus-them worldview.
