Vikings QB Keenum to sign with Broncos

Report Both Broncos and Cardinals interested in Case Keenum

John Elway, the Broncos' front office football czar, has settled on Keenum as his latest attempt to fix the quarterback situation.

After sitting out the playoffs in each of the last two years following their Super Bowl 50 triumph, the Broncos have apparently found their next signal-caller.

With Case Keenum on board, the Denver Broncos are looking to unload at least one of their current quarterbacks, Trevor Siemian. He guided Minnesota to the NFC championship game after replacing an injured Sam Bradford last season.

The Vikings decided not to apply the franchise tag to Keenum back in February, allowing him to become a free agent.

Un drapeau allemand pour accueillir le roi belge — Canada
L'organisation s'est emmêlée les pinceaux et a confondu le drapeau belge et celui de la République fédérale allemande . Une erreur diplomatique de taille qui a rapidement été rectifiée.

But with Keenum heading to Denver - and it'll be official once 4 p.m. Wednesday rolls around - one possible Plan B option is off the table for the Jets, in case they don't land Cousins.

Keenum, 30, brings playoff experience, strong leadership, and lingering questions about whether last season was the start of a career renaissance or an aberration. Cousins has a pair of top-tier wide receivers to throw to in Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs as well as a reliable tight end in Kyle Rudolph. Brock Osweiler is a free agent and isn't expected back with the Broncos.

The Broncos are two seasons removed from a Super Bowl title won in Peyton Manning's final National Football League season.

The Broncos have familiarity with Keenum through former head coach Gary Kubiak.

Presidency reportedly bars Journalists from covering Buhari's Benue Visit
Reacting to the development and the criticism that trailed the president's comment, the presidential spokesman said the alleged disobedience is yet to be confirmed.

Denver will most likely take the best available defensive player at No. 6 then look to free agency to add to the O-line so Keenum isn't running for his life and/or scraping himself off the turn 10-15 times a game this season. That allows the Broncos to address other needs and prevents them from stealing the likes of Baker Mayfield or Josh Allen from the Jets. We just have to figure out a way to get it right. He finished with 97 tackles in 2016 and 82 tackles last season.

Elway has consistently said his goal in free agency is to "find what makes sense for us cap-wise and from a personnel standpoint".

At this juncture, with the Broncos out of the wild west that is the quarterback hunt, NY is in a far better position to find their quarterback of the future than it was at the beginning of the legal tampering period on Monday.

The Broncos won all five games a year ago where the quarterback's rating was above an 85.
