Rick Nash of the New York Rangers celebrates a shootout goal

After days of tense waiting, finally the Rick Nash saga is over.

In exchange for Nash, the Bruins sent Ryan Spooner, Ryan Lindgren, Matt Beleskey, a 2018 First Round Pick, and a 2019 Seventh Round Pick.

Nash had been expected to be dealt by Monday's trade deadline.

It's said that Nash is now joining the team in Buffalo and he will face off against the Buffalo Sabres tonight.

Nash will meet the Bruins in Buffalo and is considered available for tonight's game against the Sabres. The 20-year-old has spent the last two seasons at the University of Minnesota, where he has two goals, five assists and 49 penalty minutes in 33 games in 2017-18. The 26-year-old winger is a restricted free agent this summer, when the Rangers can decide whether he's part of the future.

The Boston Bruins continued solidifying their playoff push by acquiring forward Rick Nash in a mutiplayer trade with the Rangers that leaves NY retooling for the long-term future. He has played on the USA World Junior team in each of the past two years, scoring one point in seven games in both tournaments, while playing a defensive role. Gorton has turned Nash, Nick Holden and Michael Grabner into three prospects (Lindgren, Yegor Rykov, Rob O'Gara) and four futures.

They also assumed 50 per cent of Matt Beleskey's deal while retaining 50 per cent on Nash - a significant aspect of the trade from Boston's perspective because the Bruins are pushed up against the ceiling of the salary cap.

It was one of the worst-kept secrets in the league that Nash was on the move - hey, the team even wrote an open letter, essentially confirming it - so the key here is that the Rangers maximized on a return.

Residents in Damascus reported more traffic on the streets compared to previous days and most schools and universities were open. It calls for all parties to immediately lift the sieges of populated areas including eastern Ghouta, Yarmouk, Foua and Kefraya.

The New York Rangers did very well here. After a decent first season in Boston, he recorded just three goals and five assists in 49 games a year ago. Over that time, Nash led all Rangers with 145 goals and 252 points in 375 games played.

Lindgren, 20, was the Bruins' second-round pick in the 2016 NHL Draft.

He could become a staple on the Ranger's blueline and is the other key piece besides Spooner to this trade.

The haul brought in by the Rangers could bode well for Buffalo, which will trade left wing Evander Kane. He also added 14 goals in 73 playoff games for the Blueshirts, which might be the thing that most fans remember - like his one goal in 12 playoff games in his first postseason in 2013, and just three on their 25-game run to the Stanley Cup final in 2014.
