Jack Wilshere’s set to commit his long-term future to Arsenal

Arsène Wenger appeared to aim a dig at Tottenham Hotspur's players this morning by claiming that the English have become the "masters" of diving.

Alderweireld's return is timely given, after Arsenal, Tottenham face a trip to Juventus in the Champions League next week before the return leg at Wembley early next month.

Asked about Pochettino's comments, Wenger said: 'I am convinced he wanted to see tricking your opponent is to be clever. How far was it an apology for diving?

"I will not take any risk if he's not 100 per cent fit, for sure, because I have full confidence in David Ospina".

"We have to get the diving out of the game", Wenger said. I remember there were tremendous cases here when it was foreign players who did it.

Wenger has accused English footballers of being the "masters" of diving.

"It's not (right) to talk generally or focus on one country or nationality".

All this information leaves us with little confusion over 10 of our 11 starting positions, and you can fully expect Wilshere or Aaron Ramsey to be selected as the 11th, and I'm leaning towards the Welshman on last week's performance. "I love the diversity - you can find it (diving) in England, Spain or Argentina".

Arsenal won their third FA Cup in four years with victory over Chelsea last May.

They have conceded nine of their 24 league goals this season, or 38%, after the 75th minute of matches.

The bill has drawn a chorus of criticism from countries including Israel and the United States. Those who will be convicted will face fines or be jailed for up to three years.

"He has a very professional attitude in training and matches", said Wenger.

"It is more important for us to come back mathematically than it is emotionally-charged".

"We lost our last two away games, at Bournemouth where we were 1-0 up, at Swansea where we were 1-0 up".

Wenger broke Arsenal's transfer record last week to add more firepower to the Gunners quest to beat Tottenham to a top-four finish by splashing out £56 million ($78 million) on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Pochettino's side have scored 73 goals so far, with much of the thanks going to Harry Kane, who has sent the ball into the net 31 times.

In addition to this, they are now on a scoring streak of 18 consecutive games.
