The action-adventure aptly titled Detective Pikachu is being rolled out in the USA and the rest of the world on the Nintendo 3DS on March 23rd, according to an announcement from The Pokemon Company today. The game will also see a re-release in Japan on that date. Western players will receive both episodes with their purchase. Side by side, Tim and Pikachu will search for clues and talk to witnesses to investigate the disappearance of Tim's father, Harry.

This Detective Pikachu amiibo comes in at $30, which makes sense given the size increase.

With all of this news on the horizon, the Pokemon Company made a decision to create a special Detective Pikachu Amiibo to use in the game.

For those who haven't been keeping up, Detective Pikachu is a mystery adventure game, somewhat similar to the Ace Attorney titles.

Shortly after the excitement died down from Detective Pikachu, Nintendo revealed this incredibly slick New Nintendo 2DS XL Pikachu Edition!
