Russia probe deepens

President Donald Trump on Wednesday called for "sneaky" Sen.

As she runs for her fifth full term, Feinstein is facing a challenge from the left as some liberals question whether the long-serving senator is too moderate for California.

She released the transcript of Glenn Simpson's interview over the objections of the committee's Republican chairman, Iowa Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, referred Christopher Steele, the former British intelligence officer who compiled a dossier with allegations concerning President Trump and Russian Federation, to the Justice Department for investigation.

Fusion GPS, which was hired first by Republicans and later Democrats, studied various aspects of Trump's background, a typical function for opposition researchers during presidential campaigns.

Floyd Mayweather trashes Conor McGregor for cartel trouble, McGregor fires back
As you can see by Mayweather's tweet and its accompanying knife and casket emojis, there's clearly no love lost between these two. As witty as Mayweather thought he was being, McGregor knocked him out with one sharp retort.

Eventually, Fusion GPS hired Christopher Steele, a former British spy who had worked in Russian Federation in the 1990s, to reach out to his sources there.

President Trump slammed Sen.

Defending the release of the transcript on Tuesday, Feinstein said it was necessary in order to combat false information circulating about the Simpson interview. "The only way to set the record straight is to make the transcript public", she said. "But, as I would with any credible evidence of a crime unearthed in the course of our investigations, I feel obliged to pass that information along to the Justice Department for appropriate review", Grassley said in a statement. Grassley said he was "confounded" by the release and argued that it could undermine attempts to get additional witnesses.

"Her action undermines the integrity of the committee's oversight work and jeopardizes its ability to secure candid voluntary testimony relating to the independent recollections of future witnesses", Taylor Foy, Mr. Grassley's spokesman, said in a statement. As The Hill explains, a challenging primary is unlikely as California's primary system rewards the highest two finishers, no matter party affiliation, and Feinstein's only notable challenger at this level is a Democrat.

Trump Denies Collusion But Doesn't Commit to Mueller Interview
Trump had previously said he would be "100 percent" willing to meet Mueller, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation director. Trump said he would "100 percent" be willing to share his version of the encounter with Comey under oath.

Trump has dismissed the information contained in the dossier, which was handed over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation by former MI6 agent Christopher Steele in September 2016.

He did not identify the source.

The special counsel's team of investigators has expressed interest in speaking with Trump, but no details have been worked out.
