Alabama?wide receiver Calvin Ridley announced Wednesday on Twitter that he will forgo his senior season and enter the National Football League draft.

Ridley made his announcement on his Twitter account on Wednesday, two days after the Crimson Tide beat Georgia in the National Championship Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

"Having been thoroughly prepared for that next step", he wrote, "I am truly ready".

Ridley's 224 career receptions also ranks second in program history behind Amari Cooper's 228, while his 2,781 career receiving yards ranks third behind DJ Hall (2,923) and Cooper (3,463).

Harris was ranked as the No. 5 draft-eligible running back by Kiper.

Harris ran for 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns this year as the lead rusher for the Crimson Tide. He is coming off a season in which he caught 63 passes for 967 yards and five touchdowns.
