With the acquisition of Beams, Ring.com will now be able to integrate additional smart lights (below) with its security devices.
Aside from its flagship video doorbell, Ring also sells security cameras such as the Ring Floodlight Cam and Ring Stick Up Cam. These new outdoor-friendly smart lights have been created to integrate with both the Ring app and the company's range of camera and doorbell products. Ring Beams, including spotlights, pathway lights, and deck lights, will be available in mid-2018. The Stick Up Cam Elite takes its cue from Ring's first-generation Stick Up Cam, but upgrades the resolution from 720p HD to 1080p.
We first covered Ring back in 2013 when it was known as Doorbot and all it offered was a doorbell equipped with a Wi-Fi-connected camera.

Ring has now revealed that this product will start shipping in April and has been rebranded as Ring Alarm.
